Tail light and plate mount fitted to right side of the bike. I will weld some bungs to the frame rail and bolt the plate mount to these bungs.

Tailight Selection

Here are three tailights of similar design. The two on the outside are Ford reproductions - one with a stop lens the other with a fluted lens. The light in the middle is a Vincent reproduction. Pick the one that works and Time Cycles will fabricate a side mount for the light and plate.

Rear Fender Fitting

Here is a pre unit front fender that will give you an idea of the fit.
The width is just about right on the tire. Simple round bar fender braces will look good on a fender like this.

Space under the Seat for Electrics

Using a cardboard template to fit all the electrics under the seat and between the seat rails. I will fab a battery box later and locate it between the lower rails. I will weld some bungs to the frame and fab an aluminum plate  that will bolt to the frame rails and  hold the components.

Cross Bar fitted

Here is the frame cross bar coped and fitted. The oil tank is a very loose clamped fit so I will weld a bracket to the frame to get some stability. The two brackets off the frame will be removed.

Seat Mount Cut from Frame

The cross bar on the top of the hard tail was cut out today and a new cross bar will be fitted and tacked in. Whoever put the first cross in forgot to leave enough space for the wheel and fender then fully welded it home. Lots of grinding and finishing to get rails cleaned up. This makes a good case for tacking things together until everything is fitted and working together.

The Triumph

Dustins Build

This blog was created to allow Time Cycles to post progress pictures of Dustin's Build.
Our man Dustin (and others) can view our progress as we cut and weld on his Triumph transforming it from a roller to a fine motorcycle fit for disturbing the peace throughout the Dominion.
